Client:

Ykonic Creation for Kim Quang Group

Year:

2022

"Vortex, Living Water" is an impressive installation art piece by Ykonic Creation, designed to bring this 17-metres-high work into a 5-floors coworking space in the heart of Saigon (Hochiminh City, Vietnam). "Vortex, Living Water" materializes flowing water using recycled plastic from mineral water bottles.

This artwork is not only visually striking but also carries profound meanings. Inspired by the water tower built by the French in 1878 at Ho Con Rua (which is no longer operational), discarded plastic bottles, randomly deformed by heat, were chosen as the primary material. Additionally, the vortex phenomenon and the concept of water's vitality, discovered by Austrian naturalist Viktor Schauberger, also served as inspiration for the work.

"Vortex, Living Water" is seen as an engaging invitation, encouraging viewers to explore a historical building filled with mysteries.
